The Intelligence discipline in the XXI century – 1 part. Fundamental concepts of the discipline.
This article is an advance of doctrinal reflection work aimed to establish basic principles of the intelligence discipline in the XXI century as an essential element of human organizations efficient management. The intelligence as a discipline is changing its condition of being used only by governmental secret services, orienting its position in the framework of human knowledge for being applied to human organization, concretely to their management.
To become a discipline within management of human organizations its mission must be to try to resolve a certain problem existing in this field. From our point of view mission and purpose of the intelligence discipline is to contribute to the improvement of treatment and management of strategic information in any organization. We define mentioned above strategic information as information required to set objectives and successfully achieve them. There are three types of strategic information in any organization:
1- Strategic Information of support to processes, and to business or service continuity.
2- Strategic Information of support to threat detection and management.
3- Strategic Information of support to opportunities detection and management.
It is within this concept where intelligence contributes doctrinal approaches, procedures, methods, Technologies and systems permitting to improve treatment and management of all types of strategic information mentioned above. This conception guarantees intelligence historical operative functions, increases its importance for organization functioning and social ecosystem and finally permits to define academia, educative and innovation framework with solid foundation clearly differentiated from any other knowledge discipline. Basing on this position in within human knowledge and its strategic function for organizations I establish the following affirmations:
A-The intelligence discipline is essential for efficient functioning and evolution of human organizations within its environment.
B-The intelligence discipline contributes supports and assists to each and every discipline related to functioning of human organizations.
C-The intelligence discipline is transversal, combining and contagious in relation to other knowledge areas. The application of these knowledge areas is delimited as for essential use of the discipline (strategic information management).
At the end of this article it is important to mention that consideration of the intelligence as a discipline and establishment of its differentiated function in functioning and evolution of human organizations is a milestone in this field. This means to be a conceptual revolution and advent of completely new doctrine subject to be treated with maximum consideration within academia spheres. As well it means development of the industry actually leading by only a few at a world-wide level being Interligare a reference in founding of this discipline and in concreting of systems able to deploy and introduce intelligence organization into human organization making them to integrate in natural form into the culture of the organization, public and private (Forces, Governments, enterprises, NGOs, etc).
