Interligare: scientific Intelligence Company (discipline for the creation and development of the knowledge and wisdom society).

For years the Interligare Group has been an R&D Company, leader in the research and development of evidence-based Investigative Intelligence Systems – a series of techniques for strategic information processing created as a result of my research studies and works of design of organisations that research the past or examine and analyse the social ecosystem of the present. After all these years of patient work (more than 15 years), considerable laboratory work and in the field, testing our approaches on organisations and persons, we have acquired sufficient elements of doctrinal knowledge so as to surpass the existing paradigms by means of creating of a discipline which will no doubt be key within the knowledge society of this millennium. This discipline is denominated Scientific Intelligence.
Scientific Intelligence is multidiscipline; it’s combinational and growing with regards to the traditional scientifically-technical disciplines which make appear within it. Its field differs in that it is multidisciplinary and global in form; it deals with the origin, structure and the use of Intelligence, and be it of biological, rational or another origin. As well the field of its application is centred on individuals, human organisations, live beings and machines. NowIS systems are the first socio-technical systems comprised by persons, organisations and machines permitting to deploy scientific intelligence organisations in a complex (not complicated) and progressive way and providing the original organisation with informative, decision-making and operational superiority concerning vital and social ecosystem that surrounds it.

Till now many disciplines have tried to study human intelligence from different view points – psychology, sociology, anthropology, neurology amongst others. None have however dealt with intelligence as a universal singularity which has a function, usefulness, can evolve naturally and artificially in predictable or unpredictable ways.

Finally, it is important to mention that this incipient discipline is and will be the principal dynamic guidance of the innovation process at Interligare and our commitment is to transfer to all our innovations to with the aim that the discipline of the intelligence makes its contribution to the improvement the lifestyle of people of the new millennium.

Situation and Activity Study in Intelligence to support Spanish public Security.

Since its development, the US concept of “Homeland Security” has rapidly spread throughout all the worlds’ governments. It has extended without a clear understanding of its strategic and doctrinal significance and without defining the systemic and operational models with which to work to forge new organisations, operative procedures and support infrastructures.

Put simply but concisely we can define “Homeland Security” as a "National Security concept based on the coherent integration of Intelligence, Security and Operations which aims at efficiently and rapidly being able to anticipate and respond to any threat, internal or external, be they deliberately provoked or provoked by natural causes" (Martin Juarez 2008).

The US “Homeland Security” doctrinal concept is based on a unified vision, centred on the nation's security, prevention of potential threats, the preventive and active combat to real external threats, rather than a cooperative approach between countries and focus on citizens and their real threats. The European model, more specifically the Spanish model, must focus on the safety of its citizens (CITIZEN SECURITY) be based on an integrated Security Intelligence closely connected to the elements that provide security and those responsible for neutralizing the real threats in constant cooperation with other countries.

The Spanish state is currently making a concerted effort, in all aspects associated with security, remarkably improving our ability to prevent and combat threats to citizens safety, however these efforts are being realised without defining a systematic model or a forecast being made which would allow for improvement the future use of existing assets (personnel and infrastructure) and thus permitting the decision makers to have a precise view of the situation and the short and medium term possible scenarios.
Focusing on the Security Intelligence model, a multitude of aspects which with little effort would improve the overall global system and its contribution to security and operations. In the first place, in contrast to countries, such as the United Kingdom, among others, we don’t have a Security Intelligence model or a common procedural framework. In the case of the United Kingdom they have the (National Intelligence Model) NIM and the Intelligence Led (common model for law enforcement) The availability of these models allow the establishment of solid training and organisation of the different intelligence cells, contrary to what is believed by some the mission of the intelligence cell doesn’t vary the common model, it only qualifies and specifies it.

There are currently four state Security Intelligence organisations, the Intelligence department of the National Police Corps, Intelligence Service of the Civil Guard, the more recently created, National Antiterrorism Coordination Centre and Organised Crime Intelligence Centre. Each produces intelligence by using their own means or starting from the information provided by others. The current situation is that there is no master plan and therefore the reports produced have gaps in the information and are lacking in the objectives they analyse. On the other hand there is a combination of intelligence needs that aren’t covered by any of these agencies.

National Security Intelligence System analysis and diagnosis.

After an exhaustive study of the situation of the National Security Intelligence System and a comparative study with countries of our surroundings. The conclusion can be reached that we have worked much and well in improving this system. Despite this, there are a number of observable deficiencies in our country and others that a set of solutions would allow us to have an efficient system, advanced and of use for the public security.

Essentially the deficiencies in the Spanish Security Intelligence System are the following:

The intelligence produced is essentially operational in nature and there is a deficiency in the production of strategic intelligence which is an essential component for decision makers in the political and law enforcement spheres.

The intelligence focus is aimed more at the elaboration rather than at the production of systematic intelligence. This implies that a greater number of information gathering and handling resources are necessary than for the key element of the intelligence process which is analysis.

In the area of Intelligence there isn’t a modern and common training model which allows members of law enforcement to familiarise themselves with the procedures, techniques and advanced tools in the matter and that allows for the constant recycling of the components of the different units.

The dissemination and managements of intelligence reports for senior managers and accountable politicians is archaic and doesn’t allow for the intelligence to be received within a useful decision making timeframe.

Useful Intelligence is available for the individuals responsible for guaranteeing public security, however it isn’t disseminated.

Public security intelligence is nonexistent or it shines by its absence.

The intelligence sharing mechanism can be improved.

A real time situational knowledge system which would allow politicians and law enforcement decision makers to know what is happening and what could happen, with a precise and panoramic vision, doesn’t exist.

The interoperability of the intelligence systems is improving but is lacking a common criterion in regards to establishing the Technological Police Intelligence system model.

Units within Law enforcement which allow for the handleling and analysing all the existing audio-visual, open and closed source information, of Image Intelligence doesn’t exists.

The coordination between Intelligence units within the Ministry of the interior and other agencies is not clearly defined.

Concrete actions for improving National Intelligence System of support to Security.

Once the detected global deficiencies are set out, I propose a series of measures and actions to be effectuated by the current legislature which will allow Spain to lead its own concept of the Intelligence. Exportable within the European framework and making the National Security Intelligence System concept explicit.

With respect to the organisation projects:

Creation of citizen-oriented Security Intelligence doctrine and model which will allow establishing a common way of understanding and proceeding in matters of Intelligence.

Preparation of the Intelligence Master Plan which would allow establishing the intelligence requirements in relation to all real threats for citizens’ security.

With respect to the infrastructure project:

Creation and deployment by The Secretary of State of a constantly evolving technological and methodological system for training and refreshing intelligence (National Intelligence Knowledge and e-learning Portal).

Creation and deployment of a System of Informative Superiority and early Warning based on real-time situational awareness (SITUATIONAL AWARENESS) of the intelligence available about the national picture of threats for government and police officials.

Definition and creation of Citizen Security Intelligence Model and its exploitation in local, autonomic and national police bodies.

Implementation of Citizen Security Strategic Intelligence cell within the Secretary of State which will allow for the realisation of continuous evaluation of the situation on the basis of the information provided by the different police bodies.

Creation and development of a “Think Tank” aimed at researching and developing, within the European framework, the initiatives and debates about the Citizen Security Intelligence.

Commencement of the 2009-2012 Interligare strategic plan

It has been a few months since Inteligare (the company I founded four and a half years ago with the objective of researching, designing and developing intelligence systems) reached the end of its period of start up, a process of implementation in many ways brilliant, which ultimately enabled us, with an initial capital of 4,000 euros, to create a world model in intelligence innovation.

In these years we have survived and grown by doing some of what the market required, investing all income in the buying of time, so as to continue to develop our positioning, personality and differential proposal based on knowledge assets, generated by the company. Warren Buffet stated that a business that can not be explained in 5 minutes is neither a business nor anything, in this sense Interligare is dedicated to designing, implementing, assessing and managing advanced intelligence and investigation organisations, and for this we constituted a continuous innovation project called nowIS that permits us to, research, design and develop all types of systems (knowledge, strategic, methodological, organisational, operational, computer, ergonomic, educational, etc) that coherently structured allow to set in motion, deploy and evolve in a continuous manner the organisations which investigate past facts, organisations that precisely scrutinise the present and what can occur in the real world.
In September, once the severity of summer had passed, we began to implement our strategic plan, which sole objective is to fulfil our mission of imparting intelligence and making its use commonplace in all human organisations, for this our first step is to provide in a simple manner, some of the elements necessary to create an intelligence organisation and to do this in a massive way.

As the necessary knowledge and abilities to implement and develop an intelligence organisation require significant training, the possession and acquisition of progressive abilities, which are difficult to replicate, we have opted for the simplest systems to replicate, i.e. computer systems and the operating procedures of the methodological systems facilitating any public or private organisation of having a basic intelligence platform at 0 cost, including the installation , the access to the Intelligence e-learning portal, as well as the possibility of accessing, free of charge, our webinars or courses through Interligare TV. In addition they will have at their disposal a range of specialised services in the various disciplines associated with the Intelligence field.

With this first step we intend to provide our nation with an outstanding national intelligence infrastructure, both in the public and private sectors giving them the ability to develop and putting us at levels of countries such as the USA and UK.

All public administrations can contact us at adminpub@interligare.com.

Why intelligent beings do not act accordingly (Intelligent Development of Representations in Mind-III). The application of EBI to individuals

In previous posts we define human intelligence and its immense capacity for learning, creativity and problem solving from an evolutionary process. We call this intelligent development of representations in mind; we also established the principles for their examination and artificial replication from the point of view Biomimetic and from the rational standpoint.
In this post I will introduce the potentials of the Evidence-based investigative intelligence and its techniques as applied to the cognitive restructuring of individuals.
On a daily basis we see, in ourselves and those around us, behaviour that seem, erroneous counterproductive, incoherent, destructive and ultimately detrimental to both the subject and others. Someone very close and wise, once told me, and I have been able to double check this, that relativity does not exist in human behaviour due to the fact that as beings dependent on others, the natural and social ecosystem. From the Pythagorean point of view, the positive is the behaviour and decisions that add up to the maximum and the negative is what subtract most.

Scientific disciplines such as psychology, sociology, psychiatry, anthropology and in particular neuroscience, have worked long and delved much into the diagnosis from the perspective of behavioural origins and have given us clues to explore avenues of evolution and regeneration of them.
Based on the aforementioned, I will focus the remainder of this post on visualising how the methods, strategies and techniques of Evidence Based Investigative Intelligence can help us in a personal complex and gradual transformation which is driven by the vital volitional principle inherent in a more or less evident manner in any individual.

Cognitive restructuring through the techniques of the EBI can modify unsafe behaviours in insurance, large or small worldviews, modify "drudgery" for challenges, unhappiness for happiness, lack of goals for an influx of them, personal failure for successful, lack of solidarity for solidarity, mistaken patterns for rational foundations, destructive pursuits, subjectivity for objectivity and fears amongst other things

In my personal and research experience I have been able to confirm that bad or evil behaviour exist and it is embodied in people.
I have also been able to confirm that a high percentage are however influenced strongly by strategic and personal information management errors i.e., errors in the approach to mission objectives that anthropologists and biologists use to trace unequivocally our existence; errors in the planning of data gathering and in the evaluation of credibility, reliability, accuracy and usefulness methods of the mentioned information, errors in the analysis and proofs of the same and finally errors in decisions to be made and actions to be taken in the real world.

In my opinion, the anxiety, fear, unhappiness or aggression are clear symptoms of the conscience of a malfunction of these strategies, procedures and methods. I am sure that learning and training in information collection and evaluation techniques such as world observations, the study of documents, the premeditated exchange information and asking for the opinions of others along with analysis techniques, synthesis and structured processing, can significantly improve the functioning of our mind/brain duality, can progressively and consciously improve the lives of individuals.

Since some time back I have been pursuing the objective of preparing courses for personal and professional groups, so they may improve their efficiency in strategic information management processes and I will not let another minute go by. Far from producing self-help courses based on personal experiences or sectarian doctrines the idea is to use the scientific approach and the product of our research for everyday use and for everyday human benefit in private and professional lives.

Rest assured that in my facet as intelligence analyst, when I used, these principles they have improved my worldview and my behaviour. My research in recent years has been devoted to improving the strategic information management, its operating procedures, its epistemological meaning and its overall framework applicable to all human activities. I sincerely believe that this is appending revolution which will if successful, change the educational and behavioural patterns of society, heading toward a more reflective knowledge society, just and free from hypocrisy and malicious archetypes.

Announcement of my first writings and books to be published in 2010.

It gives me great pleasure to announce, in this blog, the writings and books I am preparing and their reasons. In the first instance, I've always believed that; to publish one should have matured a great deal, what one had the need to say, the knowledge or advice one wishes to transmit: at the same time one must have the humility and courage to express things their way, without trying to create a style or emulate the literary masters which I'm nowhere near ready to outshine. My creative and intellectual skills are as remarkable as my shortcomings in many other areas of knowledge, including the written expression of feelings and thought. I am encouraged in this endeavour as I to count with the assistance of, proofreaders who rigorously make grammatical correction but don’t edit content or style and dependable translators that allow me to connect with all possible cultures and will understand the meaning of the expressions that will be reflected in those writings. Therefore, for next year I hope to publish the following books which I briefly discuss below:

1.	INTELLIGENCE DISCIPLINE. STRATEGIC INFORMATION MANAGEMENT METHODS AND SYSTEMS: .Ordered compendium of knowledge that seeks to establish the basic principles of the discipline of intelligence directly rooted in the science of organisational management.

2.	STRATEGIC SOCIO-TECHNICAL SYSTEMS DESIGN & ENGINEERING. AN INTRODUCTORY VISION: A book dedicated at explaining the necessary design and engineering approaches for creating strategic socio-technical systems, their advantages and complexities at the moment of tackling creation and subsequent deployment systems.

3.	I2CM V-I ADVANCED. A UNIVERSAL EVIDENCE BASED INVESTIGATIVE INTELLIGENCE PRODUCTION METHODOLOGY: . A book, a collection of educational programs and an e-learning portal, which combined allow for the learning of this methodology, which proposes a revolutionary framework with regards to the way in which we deal with strategic information and produce precise information of what is occurring and can happen.

4.	THE THINKER: Provisional title of what purports to be the first rigorous intelligence novel, an inexistent genre as opposed to the wonderful world of the spy novel, which will deal with the daily life of an analyst in their professional and family relationships, their memories, their worldview amid a complex web of international corruption.

5.	DESIRE OPERATION: Novel of the same gender with which I hope to have the opportunity to inaugurate, precisely narrate and hopefully in a captivating manner, a virtual recruiting operation of unconventional profiles of anonymous individuals that can generate a HUMINT network and of very powerful operations. This novel is based on action and psychological warfare experienced partly in fact and part in complete fiction.

Finally I want to comment the independent of the editorial success they have, I hope to continue publishing books and papers indefinitely, improving to the best of my ability the style, narrative and didactic capabilities.

Design identity and the software engineering focus of Interligare as strategic vector of organisational change.

In the many years that I have dedicated to the design and development of software technologies and applications, I have clearly perceived the benefits and problems that are inherent to these complex systems. In my research of these types of systems, their behavioural predictability, with the socio-technical systems and the biological ecosystem have played a fundamental role as research objectives.

I nostalgically remember that at age 12 I received a personal computer which, after much insistence on my part, my mother had bought for me on instalments. She always had a special intuition and understood that it could be crucial to my development and future. She definitely wasn’t wrong. Due to various circumstances and basically due to my age, I have been a privileged spectator of the software revolution and have seen firsthand and even won the friendship of some of those pioneers. Pioneers, such as Bill Atchison, Bertrand Meyer and Grady Booch amongst other masters. I still conserve and use the ruler which I received as a gift from Booch when we brought the first ever Rational Rose Technology to Spain, the first object oriented CASE, the first ever OMG world conference (held in Boston in 1993) and where I saw the approaching revolution, the first ever Spanish electronic retail web, created by my team, and called “buying in Spain” and developed in VRML. The opportunity to have become very rich at that particular moment, when the knowledge, teams and ideas were in my hands , but not the self esteem or the conviction of being able to mislead people in the way they were deceived in the so called dot.com bubble (it created perverted young talent and lost them to the technological crash) The first national software factory project, where I was able to participate incorporating the concept and basic concepts of software reusability as a basic element when defining and developing productive code etc..
It wasn’t that long ago that software design was almost a euphemism, in many ways it still is and basically the majority of organisations continue to plan and code in a disjointed manner, though with better tools, languages and without memory, storage or runtime restriction . These last characteristic have in my opinion relaxed the process of software development and testing, which has resulted in the reduction of the robustness and the reliability has been accentuated by the pressures of a highly competitive concurrent market (much supply and demand).

When I commenced the Epistemos project, aimed at defining Intelligence as a discipline, designing and developing concepts, models and intelligence systems, the software revolution had reached its climax, was the parting point and conduit of the information society. My prolonged experience in this field and due to less noble circumstances, I understood the importance at the commencement of Interligare of releasing, a very basic IT intelligence architecture (though still the most complete and coherent on the market), called nowIS 5.1 IT System as an essential product to commercialise on the market. This architecture and the respective solution is based on the integration of consolidated technologies, on the development of connectors and additional functions, with a medium integration level, from the system administration view and the user perception.

This experience made us realise that the renowned and costly, in the most part North American technologies, lacked a functional competence, and had an alarming unpredictability with regards to their range of optimum functionality. These technologies showed shortcomings in the design approach, in the plans and plausibility and serious evolutionary horizons. From that moment I began a reflective process and authorised lines of experimentation so as to prove our capability to develop higher quality software. All this, without, an exhaustive professionalized approach at the moment of developing the software and relying on human resources with little or no experience in professional software development.
This experience culminated in the earlier part of this year and obtained surprising results. Though the quality of the development process was poor, I realised that with an innovation and serious software engineering focus and an approach based on the specifications of consistent design, the possibilities and costs of developing quality software within a reasonable time-span is much greater than in times gone by. This lead me to redefine and restructure the software development area of the company, to compose a world class elite team in the next years

We are currently creating sophisticated software to support our socio-technical intelligence systems. Software which also has many applications in the information technology market and can be treated as elements of differing business strategies in their own right. On the other hand we are in the process of creating a software design and development identity which will allow us to consolidate our position as leaders in the field, with our strategic socio-technical systems and supreme expression in the design of complex systems. This identity has its bases in the work of Alan Cooper and other forward thinkers in software design, thus basically the characteristics we pursue to incorporate in the software systems we develop are the following:

In the first place we shall sing the "mea culpa" for having contributed, like 99% of the current technological companies, to develop poor quality software. That is, software which FORGETS the information it possesses and user preferences within the same. Software that is LAX and does not support or bemoan, bad configurations, non established a priori uses, changes in support hardware and that suffers prolonged failures without warning. IRRESPONSIBLE and DANGEROUS software, that makes us doubt when a dialogue appears asking if we are sure and regardless of the circumstances transfers the inescapable responsibility for safeguarding information and if that isn’t enough it sets ejection levers in the most unlikely places, which without warning make us exit the system. Software that is STINGY/MISERLY with information, swallowing it without measure and without informing of the utility that produces such consumption and if it is or isn’t effective. Software which is AUTISTIC in its behaviour, ignoring the need to constantly communicate with the user, clearly explain what it’s thinking, what it’s working on and when the task will be completed, and finally be able to attend us properly. Software that is INFLEXIBLE and MALADJUSTED, unable to balance its behaviour, based on, other software with which it coexists, with the circumstances and priorities of the users it serves.

Secondly, we make a strong statement of intent to walk progressively toward a software that behaves in the following ways, well defined by the master Cooper and that I take the liberty to interpret in some case:

1. Software that is interested in me.

2. Software that is considerate of me.

3. Software that has initiatives.

4. Software that has common sense.

5. Software that anticipates our needs.

6. Software that responds to me.

7. Software that is reserved with its internal problems.

8. Software that is well informed.

9. Software that is perceptive and intuitive.

10. Software which trusts its own criteria.

11. Software that does not lose the focus and transmits confidence.

12. Software that gives me instant gratification and results.

13. Software that is malleable.

14. Software that can coexist with other software systems, on different platforms to which they are housed and with different types of users.

15. Software which is strong, resilient to changes and events in the environment.

etc.

Finally, in addition to the aforementioned elements we must convert the (Homological) programmers into (Homo sapiens) software designers. This means they must first think of what they must do, for whom, how to do it and then the user capabilities necessary to operate the software; they mustn’t be inversely proportional to the capabilities of designing friction-free cognitive software, that is, easy to use. In this sense, JMJLab is defining the steps necessary for the design and monitoring of development processes that result in quality software. At Interligare, our development teams are strongly committed to these concepts and the needs of continuous improvement in processes of user understanding and the software engineering processes which is perfectly integrated and in constant interaction with designers.

Interligare and the commitment to innovation in strategic systems.

If in previous posts I dedicated a time to clearly define the principals by which the business platforms responsible for the design of systems through diverse products are ruled, that is to say in JMJLab, I now prepare to describe the responsibility and governing principals of Interligares activity as a research, engineering and development company of products composed in the JMJLab. Interligare focuses its activity on the research and construction of all the necessary elements which compose a strategic socio-technical system, granted we have spoken of the elements which compose a socio-technical systems, I would like to clearly define the functions, components and typologies of a strategic system.A strategic system is one that permits assistance in the planning and fulfilment of the objectives which comprise the mission, of the individual or company which will use it (JMJ-2009), thus a personal strategic system is made up of a collection of systems that allow the obtaining of the personal objectives set in their needs and desires; in the same sense, an organisational or corporate strategic system assists in obtaining the objectives set by the established plans and derived from the missions which are defined by the organisation.

The established definition encloses many elements which must be clearly defined. Firstly a strategic system refers to the fact that from the point of view of the beneficiaries of the system, they are the most important in the surrounding system hierarchy and likewise, the vision, structure and functioning of every strategic personal system is different and singular. In this respect, it is not the same to develop and deploy analysis software as strategic analysis software or a financial strategic software and finally in a socio-technical model an intelligence or innovation organisation is not the same as strategic intelligence or innovation organisation.

From the aforementioned the daily challenges that are pursued by Intelligare in all its corporate actions as an innovation company are derived, these are fundamentally three:
1.	Clearly investigate and research which are the objectives and approach of the beneficiaries of a system and which are the functions of use and value which will permit to perceive it as strategic
2.	Develop the components, pieces and parts of everything defined as a strategic system.
3.	Invest in knowledge, research, human resources, infrastructure, and management methodology and business models which make up the continuous innovation which surround the engineering, development and deployment of the STRATEGIC CORPORATE SOCIO-TECHNICAL SYSTEMS, maximum assertion of the capabilities of innovation in systems.

For the progressive attainment of these fundamental and inalienable challenges two principal elements are necessary. On the one hand the collective awareness of individuals within the organization of the challenges raised and on the other, to take charge internally and externally of the intellectual and business approach.

Four years after the start up and establishment with these objectives in the founders mind, who has progressively cascaded them in his design and business strategy approach, the moment has come in which the organisation, innovation and knowledge network can take the lead of this conceptual, systematic, technological and social revolution and assume the responsibility of transmitting the aforementioned in their messages, systems products, behaviour and business models. Up to now the experience of following this focus to a certain extent has made us unique and has permitted us, to in a short time, obtain innovation assets and solid approaches in relation to future changes in innovation which are currently necessary to consolidate with patience, a steady and firm step in multiple products, solutions, business spin offs and alliances.

Design identity of JMJLAB. Committed design for a century of knowledge, wisdom and adaptive government.

The JMJLAB project has its basis in many years of work, in which I have attempted to conceptualise the intellectual and creative function which I expressed in the previous post and which I will extensively deal with in the book which will be published next year. Also it responds to the research and study of complex systems which I have been conducting along with my R&D teams and which in its intellectual objectives intends to answer the problems and visions of the world from a systematic conception but not reductionist, that is to say, a systematic vision of the inherent complexity of the natural ecosystem, social and to the actual human beings in their constitution and relationship styles, organisation and communication.

Further to the abovementioned I will set out, in black and white the design identity of JMJLAB and its founder:
1.	Design is an intellectual action which commits its author to the world in which he/she lives and as such defends and attempts to incorporate the principals and underlying values in an explicit manner in all his/her creations.

2.	We believe that the design and creation of predictable complex systems, especially, high efficiency complex sociotechnical, self repairing and self preserving organisations, are an universal social transformation vehicle and can contribute to the universalisation of the knowledge society, the wisdom, human reflexive government and his/her environment in a cosmological vision based on humility and the importance of our universal singularity.

3.	Our creations begin with, spontaneous generation, by world representations or are new vision induced. Said visions are conditioned by investigative and planning of unlimited duration of continuous innovation approaches. These elements contribute to the creative process (visions and systematic studies of real world problems) they are interlinked and satisfy the initial element of the design process, that is the “Product Briefing”

4.	The products that we produce are complex in their concept and progressive in their useful function to the target user community. They are an explicit response to the design based on, simplicity and immediacy, which we, believe to be responsible for many of the problems of our society. Such as the savage urban planning design, environmental degradation, the intoxication we suffer due to multiple technological contraptions, the so called infoxication , laws, organisations, political, social and governmental , corporate government, economic and business models , and especially the life cycle which the social system has conditioned us regardless of the liberties and rights we enjoy, which are a dilemma wrapped within a riddle within a mystery. If complexity and progressiveness are at odds and are antagonists to simplicity and immediacy, they aren’t to simpleness, the aesthetics of things and the wonderful contradictions (complexities) of human beings.

5.	Our systems are essentially a composition of our devotion, values and visions generated around a field of study and research which we consider global solutions to global problems through systems and the concrete products with a continuous innovation model which allows the improvement of inherent problems in our earthly nature and the conversion process which design suffers with the state of the art applications, the methods and engineering processes and development which is responsible for the innovation in the form of the product.

6.	The objective of all our business projects is to expand our creations, taking them to society and attempting, through experience of use and obtained benefits to improve the original design and functionality and respect of the products. Said projects and business platforms obey the intellectual commitment of the designer and design school it represents.

7.	The expansion of our intellectual commitment, and our way of sensing and perceiving the world which we want to improve through design, methodology and necessary abilities to be able to develop innovation in a the form of the product, is a primordial objective for JMJLAB and therefore the creation of a design school and a global community which shares this Decalogue which defines the intellectual and creative identity of our creative and innovation identity. It is the way to carry out the abovementioned objective.

8.	We see innovation as the result of a process driven by design the backbone and research and development as the driving force, we express this in a simple equation which we set out in the following manner: R + D +D = I (Research + Design + Development = Innovation) an equation which is simple and progressive in its solution and viability. This manner of understanding innovation is clear, harmonic and simple and it resolves the ambiguities which surround innovation and result in the erroneously called R + D + I equation which is unsolvable and the expressions are intermingled with the results.

9.	Our design works are divided in various categories determined by systematic concepts:

1-Global systems (universal applications systems): Intelligence, strategic, knowledge, innovation, health, wisdom and vital systems.
2-Applications for special collectives: infants, immigrants, failures, excluded, unfortunate, unhealthy, solitary, mistaken, enlightened, etc.
3-Specific needs demanded and useful to the collective.

10.	To contribute from, our laboratories, our creations and business platforms, to the sustainable and just world and economy.

Although the JMJLAB project was created this year and its full intellectual, creative and business activity is aimed at 2010 it was the abovementioned Decalogue what inspired the designs and business Interligare and Garbo projects.

The designer’s role as true creator in the knowledge society and the commitment as a pragmatic intellectual.

Often I vindicate with certain vehemence the intellectual commitment that supposes the creative activity that implies, the design and necessary creative talent to realise said activity, elements dealt with in an insurmountable manner by the philosopher Alexander Gérard. The designer in the most creative or renaissance way represents the pragmatic intellectual, committed to society through the messages which the creations emit and with the non-conforming spirit of continuous improvement of the process of turning the visions and ideas into concrete realities. In my personal opinion, design and progress are united by an inextricable bond and it is the designer that through his/her talent, foundations and principles can structure said connection so it can be socially beneficial. Furthermore, a designer must be revolutionary from the viewpoint of permanently questioning the established facts and his/her own creations, he/she must be modern in the sense that being human and his/her surroundings must be at the centre of all thoughts and finally, must be committed to the transforming praxis so as to take the intellectual discourse to the achievements which will influence the real world, the promised land of the design process of which innovation is always the product. If we want to understand the driving force that impels the creative talent, we can not wander the space-time that is common to Mr X that makes things, the talentless designer and creative genius. The regions of genuine creation are so far from our everyday experiences that Mr. X will never know what they are and the talentless designer will never penetrate their most guarded secrets. Mr. X may always provide all the wonderful ideas which are necessary for an excellent innovative creation, the talentless designer will perhaps posses the most extraordinary training and most refined technical knowledge which will permit him/her to develop any idea and make it a reality regardless of how crude or rudimentary it may be. However, what does possess the creative talent is the creative vision, the leading driving dynamics of the revolutionary innovation process, transforming, and which contains the intellectual principals and commitments. We all know the effect produced by a lightning bolt in the middle of the night, for a second we can see a landscape, not only the most elemental profile but in full detail, though we may never be able to describe what we have seen, we feel we have captured each and every one of the elements which compose this landscape. In the design process, if in the radiance of a single instant we fail to see a composition, however complex in may be in its entirety, it is that we are not true creators. Finally, due to the fact that the creative genius has an earthly heritage, he/she must save many obstacles that stand between his/her visions and their full accomplishment. If he/she is a genuine creator he/she will not feel disturbed or discouraged by the fact that his/her sudden visions of new world representations take days, months or years in being applied. However he/she will apply the energy, persistence, mental abilities and techniques day after day without loosing the sensation and details of his/her visions.

Simplicity and immediacy: A sign of the times

In my experience as an entrepreneur I have come to know and understand the requirements of the clients, generally companies and governmental institutions. Of all the things I have been able to observe is the increasing need for any suggested solution that arises to be simple to understand and must have an immediate application, characteristics which in principle are not to be criticised, are most desirable and to be kept in mind by any systems or product designer worth his/her while. Another thing is that these characteristic be desirable or possible in some types of systems, in general the socio-technical systems and in particular the intelligence socio-technical systems which can not be simple or immediate but rather are complex in structure, composition and progressive in their usefulness to the organisation they must service. In this sense it can be affirmed that any proposition contrary to the aforementioned doesn’t only give rise to problems in the actual usefulness of a product or service of this sort, but will be totally counter-productive. A clear example is the way in which GOOGLE is used, a magnificent tool to access the worlds of information and knowledge, however, appalling as a basic research and analysis tool, basically due to it’s inability to establish an efficient and solid relevant considerations, reliability and credibility.
As knowledge becomes scarcer, the constant gathering of information becomes a necessity as does any other information element, no matter how irrelevant it may be to the objective at hand, thus the bad time management of the client obliges the designer and consultants to simplify the proposals and thus revealing many elements that may turn out to be a serious problem at the instant of accomplishing the established objectives. As Bachelard said, the simple doesn't exist only the simplified. Subsequently it is necessary that an intelligence system have a socio-technical configuration, that is to say complex, and its useful function will be progressive, any other suggestion is what ever each wants to call it, but won’t be an intelligence system.
